I think nurture is more important to a persons development because people are constantly influenced by others. People are influenced by their peers, parents, teachers, etc. Without observing the people that surround you, you wouldn't be able to learn how to do anything. When people start their lives out as babies, they don't know how to speak, eat with a fork, drink from a bottle, etc. Watching others around them and observing their parents helps them learn how to do the basic functions of life. By going to school people learn how to act around others. Nature is just genetics, without nurture people wouldn't know how to live their daily lives.

This is very true, in the book the Clutter family has great influences over each other. The father, Mr. Clutter, is very giving of his time, and so are his children. Therefore they're are influenced, as you said above. By watching their father, they learned these qualities.

I agree with both of your comments. You can also see nurture prevalent through the two murders. We learned that Perry suffered from a rough childhood with parents who were absent in his life. this caused him to feel a sense for being unimportant and unloved. This caused him to be willing to do anything to feel the acceptance and "wanted" feeling. He is obtaining this through Dick when they plan to rob the Clutter's together. He makes bad decisions that can be related back to the nurture he received.
