Addressing question 2 he means that the future has already been laid out and that no one can escape the events which are coming. I agree with the statement that no one can escape what is coming, however that is determined by our actions not fate. Our free will allows us to shape our own lives and whether we know it or not every action that we take will shape our future in some way.
Looking at the the future as another plane in time, our 4th dimension, it already exist. Every time past and future exists currently. Hindsight is said to be 20/20 my future self currently knows what will happen to me tomorrow and I cannot escape what will happen tomorrow because one way or another a decision that I made will have caused it.
