Literary non fiction could be interpreted as nonfiction altered to make a more interesting story for the reader. However, most details in the story are still true. Capote made this story a literary non fiction to create more of a story in comparison to just stating details about the crime and describes personal events of the killers which makes the reader more interested overall.
