I believe the term means all views of a real life occurrence. Because "In Cold Blood" it is not just a stright crime report, it showed every little aspect of the occurance before, during and after the crime of both the Clutter family and Dick and Perry's point of view. This is much different than any other casual non- fiction crime piece. This new approach makes the reader feel mixed emotions towards the family and the killers because it shows in detail both sides of the crime and Truman makes you feel sympathy towards the killers whitch is out of the ordinary.
