I think that the major difference between a true crime novel and a violent fiction book is that the true crime novel can have a stronger connection to the audience. This is because the true crime novel actually happened and the audience can look up additional facts that can alter their opinion of the story. Also the true crime novel allows the audience to connect with the main characters and share emotions with them because it actually happened. The violent fiction is just a story meant to entertain the audience rather than to inform them while entertain them.
