Nurture is more important to someone's development, especially when they're little. Kids do as they see others doing, which is why children with abusive parents are more likely to abuse their own children when they have them. Most people who end up committing murder have a history of family troubles or some kind of abuse. While psychopaths do have abnormal brain functions, the abnormalities don't often result in murder. Basically, when someone is abused as a child or has dead parents, it is much easier for them to rationalize murder, because violence and apathy are the norm to them. This may have been why Perry murdered the Clutters, since his mother was an alcoholic and two of his siblings committed suicide.
