Did capote believe in the capital punishment?
4. I think capote did believe in the capital punishment. Since he decided to take the book in the direction and end it that way, I think he did. Also if he didn't he wouldn't want to write a book about them being killed for their crimes. Usually people who don't believe in something or don't like something won't put themselves in that situation to write about or to study about the case where they were killed.

I agree with you and would like to add that after the deaths of Perry and Dick, Capote continues on with the lives of the other characters, therefore emphasizing that life Will still go on, but without those two in it. This really demonstrated Capotes disappointment with what happened to Dick and Perry because it makes the reader think, "what would Dick and Perry be doing right now if they were alive." it sort of gives sympathy to the two criminals.
