1. I believe that we have never fully been in control of our emotions because of the nurture that we have received, which started at birth. When we are young our parents nurtured us into becoming who we are today and before we are capable of taking care of ourselves they have been in control taking care of what we wanted, by giving us ideas of what their beliefs are, and how ours should follow. So at first, no we are not in control but once we are capable of living on our own and making decisions for ourselves that's when we decide what are behaviors and beliefs should be.
2. Therefore I believe that nurture is more important in our development because it impacts the decisions we make, which greatly impacts our life. Environment plays a crucial role in nurture because a bad environment, such as an abusive or a controlling family, leads to poor decision making and increases the likelihood of a more challenging life. On the other hand a positive environment, such as a loving family who provides for you, leads a person to becoming hard working by taking after their parents, and that leads to an acceptable life.
3. Environment plays a major role in the shaping of our lives, which is essentially the product. Living in northern Kentucky has shaped my life and it has produced the product of me. If I were to have grown up in any other place it would have produced a different product. Since products are based on decision making it is crucial to make the best decisions that will lead you to a positive life. A product can be good or bad based on the environment and that is why it is essential to do the best decision making you can to better yourself and become the best product that you can be. The nature aspect can take over and alter the product because there is nothing you can do to Change the way certain things are, such as the biological approach. In contrast the nurture aspect is something that you can change because it is based on decisions and behavioral traits.
