I believe that the most important factor of development is nurture. I don't think that one is born exactly how they act as they grow up. I think that learning and observing throughout life, influences the reason people act certain ways. On page 34, it talks about the 4-H camp Mr. Clutter was involved in, saying that the motto of the camp was "We learn by doing." I agree with the motto because I believe that a person is a product of all their experiences. How they respond to the world is based on previous events within their life- good and bad. The 4-H camps purpose was to help the children living in rural areas "develop practical abilities and moral character," which shows how they believe that allowing the children to see righteous behavior, will impact how that child will act.
