We are products of our own environment to some extent. We all have free will and choice in life. Whether we follow and make choices based on our environment or not. We all are given the will to be who we want to be. Our society can influence our decisions to some extent but we have the ability to make those decisions our own.

I totally agree Zach. We do have free will to do what we want. But I also believe that society does influence what you do or what you don't do. If you live in the Projects of some large city and you are a brilliant kid who does well in school, you still have a very good chance in falling into the hands of Drugs. Because that is all they know and that is a way of money and therefore it can ruin your life even though you were a great kid and brilliant. Now take that same kid and put him in Nancy Clutters position. He is much more likely to grow up and develop in his academics and be more involved in school and community because he has grown up in a good town with good people and the influence of negativity is no where to be found.
